Initially, Cattelan Italia did not use a product configurator and mainly used paper to configure designs. The organisation created the furniture piece ‘Airport Bookcase’ which has multiple configuration possibilities and therefore Cattelan Italia needed to provide retailers with a professional and innovative tool to design and calculate this complex bookcase, as well as other complex products.

The ‘3D Furnishing Configurator – Cattelan Italia’ was created to enable retailers and architects to showcase designs and accurately place orders as well as enabling end-customers to visualise their furniture products. 3CAD enabled Cattelan Italia to invite retailers to use an intuitive product configurator to create and present complex projects to potential customers, quickly, accurately and efficiently.
